A matchday booking runs from your door to the closest point a car can legally stop, then back again. The club asks fans to reach their turnstile at least an hour before kick off. Your pickup time is worked back from that point.
Turnstiles open 2 hours before kick off. Bags slow down security checks. Leave yours in the car with the chauffeur.
Premier League kick offs can move for TV coverage, and your pickup time moves with them. Evening European nights and cup ties use the same plan. City home games run on a different road plan at the Etihad Campus, where our Etihad Stadium chauffeur team works the closures.
Matchday Hospitality and Executive Boxes
Most hospitality lounges at Old Trafford open 3 hours before kick off and close about an hour after the final whistle. That window, plus your travel time each way, sets the length of the booking. A 3pm kick off with lounge access usually needs 7 to 8 hours of hire.
Lounges sit in different stands around the ground. Salford Suite guests, for example, take padded seats in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand. Tell us your lounge, so your chauffeur plans the set down point and the walk from it.

Tour days suit hourly chauffeur hire, because the car waits through the tour, the museum and the Megastore. Shopping bags go into the boot instead of onto a tram. The 4 hour minimum includes 60 miles, enough for a city centre pickup, the stadium tour, lunch and the drive back.
Conferences and Private Events at Old Trafford
Old Trafford also hosts conferences, dinners and private functions on non matchdays. Finish times depend on the organiser’s programme. An hourly booking keeps the car on standby, so guests leave as soon as the event closes.
Matchday Roads Around Old Trafford and Where Your Car Waits
Your chauffeur sets you down outside the matchday closure and collects you from a point agreed before kick off. Police and the club control the roads nearest the ground, so no private car reaches the turnstiles on a matchday. Sir Matt Busby Way Closures and Set Down Points
Sir Matt Busby Way runs from Chester Road (A56) up to the stadium. On matchdays, access from Chester Road closes hours before kick off on police instruction. Club car parks E1 and E2 open only via Wharfside Way, and only to permit holders.
Your chauffeur chooses a set down point outside the closure, based on your stand and arrival time. Expect a short walk from the car to the ground.
Your Agreed Pickup Point After the Final Whistle
At full time, roads around the ground close again for supporter safety. Transport for Greater Manchester warns of delays of up to 50 minutes for traffic in and around Old Trafford. A car already parked at your meeting point sits outside that queue.
The meeting point usually lies away from the main crowd, toward Salford Quays or Trafford Wharf. The spot is chosen for your stand and the direction you travel home.
On hourly bookings the chauffeur stays with the car for the whole booked period. That matters on matchdays, because stoppage time moves the final whistle.

Fixed Fare Transfers to and from the Stadium
One way transfers have a fixed fare for the first 10 miles, then a per mile rate. A city centre hotel to Old Trafford falls inside that first 10 miles.

For a short hop from a city centre hotel, two fixed transfers in an E-Class cost £140. That is less than the £180 hourly minimum. Hourly hire is the better choice for longer days, because the car stays close to the ground.
